I had mentioned this in the Madden blog about it not changing, but this game was ahead of Madden in many ways. The game had a lot of playability to it and it is arguably one of the best football games within the last decade. I rate this a 7/10.
I technically recommend Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The games story continue from it, and is an excellent game and story. The qualities you want in a game. Warfighter had additions to the gameplay away from the typical First Person Shooters, that gave it an edge. It was released at the same time as Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 and was over shadowed. It did not get it's deserved recognition.

If you are one of the few that has not played a Call of Duty or wanted to get into the COD first person shooters, start here. A lot of people love Black Ops 2 and Ghosts, but I think it pales in comparison to this game. This is an amazing first person shooters, and actually a lot of fun. Don't be swayed that it was before Black Ops, MW3, Black Ops 2, and Ghosts.

THQ was in the First Person Shooter realm before going bankrupt and produced this great story and game. I will not spoil the complete story, but you are an retired American soldier joining a rebel alliance to battle the take over by North Korea. The intro is somewhat creepy to how everything lined up, but the game has a great story and is a lot of fun to play.

Spec Ops: The Line is a great 3rd person shooter game, it had a very smart story and is gripping to see what you find out next. It does have somewhat of a "you control the story" at the end. I cannot tell you anymore, you just have to play it.

Who hasn't yet fallen under the Minecraft spell. The endless playability and the ability to do literally what ever you want makes this game an awesome one. $20 Price tag also helps.

Lego Batman 2, this game is a great one as well. I am a long time Batman fan and I absolutely love how they incorporate elements from many different Batman stories. This is grate for all ages, and the non serious feel the game has just leads to a lot of fun to be had.

A lot of people would say this game is kiddie, and sure kid's might enjoy it... But adults should as well. This is a truly fun game. The game is a great puzzle and the mixture of yarn and morphing into object to get through the obstacles make it a lot fun. Perfect game for families.

A game that was on my favorite from 2013, Grand Theft Auto V. This game is a lot of fun, though I recommend it, I recommend it for someone 17 or older. This game has the typical adult content that is in any GTA game. This should not be given to a child. Only would let a child watch in a controlled scenario, like driving around. That is it. Be responsible folks!
I rate this 9.5/10 - A lot of replay value.

This game and Super Mario Bros. Wii (pic below). This game is a lot of fun, perfect for families. It is a side scroller Mario game, but it does have puzzles and trying to locate everything will be a challenge to enjoy.

The first game of what has become to be known as the Arkham video game triology. Though not open world like the next two games in the trilogy, this is a thoroughly enjoyable game. It packs a challenge and makes you want to progress through the story. Also, playing as Batman does have its perks for any comic book/Batman fan.
I rate this 8/10.

The second game in the trilogy, now open world, packs a lot of "side" missions to complete that lead to other Batman villains. It also has extended story with playing as Cat-Woman and Robin. The story is excellent and being able to go back and beat up henchmen allows for a lot of replay value.

The Last of Us - winner of several Game of the Year awards. This game as a creepy but great story and a lot of fun multiplayer, albeit difficult multiplayer. I don't want to spoil for some who have not played, but even in the multiplayer it is about team work and survival.

For non-Nintendo owners, don't worry, there is a family friendy quirky racer out there. Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing and Racing Transformed will give you a MarioKartesque racing game. I will say, friends and family did have a lot of fun with playing this on my PS3, it has strangely similar power ups to MarioKart, but it is a great game on it's own.

Sonic Generations - this is an unique game. You play through levels as 2D and 3D Sonic. I am not joking. The idea is to gather everything to move forward to another world. You play levels and push through as 2D Sonic, then a very similar world as 3D Sonic. All levels are a redone version of levels from prior Sonic games. The game is a lot of fun, and will quench your thirst of the little blue Hedgehog.
