Today, IGN published an article with Sniper Elite 3 developer to discuss why the Xbox One is currently showing games in 720p, when the same game is in 1080p on PS4. I will disclose the article below. This interview was interesting because this ongoing discussion about the differences of 30fps and 60fps and 720p vs 1080p.
In the interview, the developer stated that the Xbox One coding is different from the PS4. Much like the difference between the PS3 and 360… just flipped. I have stated that this console generation seems to set itself apart from the others more than ever. Each companies console has it own personalities. Please see my other blog to see further about what I mean by this.
One of things the developer did state, is he feels the Xbox One will catch up, much like the PS3 did. As someone who thoroughly enjoys competition, that is good news. Now if only Nintendo could gain some of the market share, that would be great.
